When I met with Laura and Karyn, they greeted me and led me through a peaceful Japanese-style garden into their studio. Immediately I felt that they listened carefully and that a personal relationship was beginning. Listening carefully carries right through to the rehearsal’s important players and gives their work the special touch. During a thorough in-studio consultation Laura and Karyn begin designing their clients’ video coverage. Showing wedding videos and getting feedback assist them in tailoring the video to the needs of each client. All packages are offered with either one or two camera coverage. Each of the wedding packages include their attendance at the rehearsal in order to meet the family members and clergy. At that time they determine camera and microphone placement so that the movement during the ceremony is minimal. An increasingly popular option is a short 10 to 15 minute photomontage, set to music chosen by the client, that is shown at the reception or rehearsal dinner.

In business since 1985, Laura and Karyn’s combined experience, plus degrees in Music, Photography and Computer Science brings a high degree of versatility to each client. They keep up with the latest advances in video technology and use Canon’s state-of-the-art versatile XL1 3-chip digital cameras, in their event coverage. These lighter cameras require less artificial light and allow them to move in small, crowded spaces to produce a picture that is intimate, natural and rich in color. They tastefully add touches of black & white and slow motion at various places in their finished videos. The limited use of special effects gives the tape a natural appearance. Music and sound is a very important element in the creation of a memorable finished tape, and Laura and Karyn have an extensive understanding of how music can make a story flow. Therefore they spend extra time working with their clients in choosing music that is both energetically appropriate as well as unique for each couple.

Clients love their work and their unobtrusive presence. A bride described their work beautifully: "I don’t exactly know how they did it, but everybody who sees our video is moved."
