Scott Shapin's Ambassadors Rolls-Royce Limousine Service offers fabulous, limousines, which come from all over the world. One is a 1930 Chrysler Imperial, sporting a long hood, a sunroof, and a driver and passenger compartment. Only three of these limousines were custom-built by the LeBaron Design Salon, one of them for Mrs. Chrysler herself. Another which I liked so much is the 1953 Silver Wraith Rolls-Royce touring saloon limousine. It resembles a car from the Gatsby era, with its cream-colored body, dark blue roof and fenders, and wood and cream leather interior. There are several other fabulous Rolls-Royces which you can see on ARLimo website (link above). My all-time favorites are the matched pair of 1936 white 14-passenger convertible touring limousines. Only 70 of the 170 cars built for the National Park Service are around today.
Each limousine has been properly updated for passenger comfort, safety and reliability with modern V8, automatic transmission, Rack and Pinion power steering, upgraded suspensions, power disk brakes and air-conditioning..
About a year ago Scott moved his company from the South Bay to the North Bay in Vallejo. The new home, a large indoor showroom that houses all of the beautiful, antique limousines, is perfectly situated. "It is right at the gate to Napa Valley, close to Marin and the Berkeley area, and we are in San Francisco in no time," Scott told me. Over coffee I learned that the former Telcom engineer took early retirement. With time on his hands, and a love for cars he soon started his own company. "I am a people person," he told me, "and I love working with private clients who appreciate the best personal service." During the past years, Scott has developed a concept that features a concierge level service approach that focuses at the details concerning service requirements and timeline. Before each job the driver is provided with an information package containing all of the specifics and the mapped out routes, even though the cars have GPS and each chauffeur is very familiar with the Bay Area.
In addition to Scott's wonderful limousines, his chauffeurs are among the best in the profession. They are seasoned veterans who love what they do. Each chauffeur brings a unique life experience, a warm personality, and all are well versed in the details of ethnic weddings. They make sure there is enough time to travel between destinations, and arrive at your door with plenty of time to spare. Like Scott, all of them have professional backgrounds. They love the personal contact with their clients and strive to bring their service to perfection.
All limousines are fully state licensed and insured as livery vehicles by the PUC (Public Utilities Commission, Vehicle TCP 13758). Scott's limousines are always available by appointment for your personal inspection.
