Assisted and supported by his beautiful wife, Lara, Geoff has taken the Bay Area wedding scene by storm. Their natural, artistically refined photographs are beautiful, yet special in their simplicity. Shot from different angles, they reflect the clients' taste and show the love and emotions of such important celebrations. Well before the specified time, Geoff and Lara will be at the scene to get ready and into the mood of the upcoming event. Their early arrival also eliminates some of the bride's anxiety. "We like to be like a fly on the wall, always there, but mostly invisible," Geoff told me.

As so many photographers, Geoff experienced the dynamics of his first weddings when he documented celebrations for friends. After running a successful computer company, he was intrigued by the possibilities that tapped into his artistic talent. Geoff, the perfectionist, attended seminars and week-long classes with the best photographers in the field before he started his own business. The former software entrepreneur perfects the art of digital re-mastering, adding natural light to make a scene more interesting or introducing grain to create a film effect.

Incidentally, Lara is the daughter of a wedding photographer and worked for a caterer before getting married. She has a strong business background and loves weddings. She and her husband create a new experience for their wedding clients. It begins with a personal meeting in which Geoff and Lara get to know their clients, their preferences and dislikes. It is followed by another meeting right before the wedding in which everything is confirmed, all loose ends are tied up.

However, the best of all the visits is the Wedding Premier shortly after the honeymoon. It is the celebration, to which Lara and Geoff invite the couple with their closest relatives and friends, serving appetizers and wine while showing the wedding pictures in a slide show format. After the guests have left, Geoff, Lara, and their clients select the pictures for the wedding album which will be ready six to eight weeks later.

Following a wedding celebration in Spain, Geoff worked though two nights to present the Wedding Premier to the Spanish relatives even before the newly weds left for their honeymoon.
