You can't go wrong hiring Morning & Jim Nichols for your party or wedding. A delightful couple, they are versatile, dedicated, and will work with you to turn your ideas into a successful party. Not only are they great musicians, but are also very easygoing and accommodating. Together, they lead the popular 5-piece Nichols Band but can provide fewer or more talented musicians for any type of event. They are equally accomplished at playing traditional pieces for wedding ceremonies, background jazz during dinner, and lively, upbeat music to keep your guests on the dance floor.

The Nichols have performed at a wide variety of musical venues, such as the Black & White Ball, the Fillmore Street and Union Street fairs, a three-year engagement at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, and many other bookings from Carmel to the Wine Country. I listened to them on several occasions in clubs and hotels around the Bay, in front of cheering audiences.

Morning has a beautiful voice and sings complex jazz sequences with ease. She excites her audiences by singing rock 'n' roll and rhythm and blues. She has performed extensively at a variety of concerts, clubs, and festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Mabel Mercer West Coast Cabaret Convention.

Nationally and internationally known as a great guitar player, Jim has played with many famous artists, including Tom Waits and Van Morrison. He has made many recordings and performed on television, radio, and at Carnegie Hall. Just Jazz Guitar Magazine calls him "Mr. Versatility" because he can play anything: rock, jazz and blues, and finger-picking.

Jim and Morning are invited to play in Nashville every year, and their six CD's, released through GSP Recordings and Boulevard Music, have received extensive national airplay. They have performed in France, England, Germany, Italy, and Finland, and tour in Europe every year for their many followers.
