There is nothing more festive than beginning your ceremony with music, and a harp and flute duo is very intriguing. The soft tones of the harp combined with the distinct music of the flute will make your event extra special. Dan and Susan love working together and have performed at many private events. However, both can be hired separately. A demo CD with samples of each player is available.
Dan Levitan
I have admired Dan for many years--from our first meeting when he enthusiastically played a lunchtime concert, and now as the mature musician who has played as principal harpist for just about every symphony and orchestra in Northern California. He has also substituted in the San Francisco Symphony and the San Francisco Opera. He is one of the best harpists in our area, and will tackle the most difficult pieces and interpret them with great accuracy and musicality. Dan has won several first-place awards in local harp competitions and was a semi-finalist in an international competition in Israel. He has also recorded two albums. Besides being a wonderful artist, Dan is very friendly and personable. He establishes an immediate rapport with the audience and goes out of his way to accommodate his clients.
Susan Sigge
Susan is Dan's friend and music partner, and is equally enthusiastic about playing her instrument. They met in the orchestra pit of an opera performance and hit it off right away. Just like Dan, Susan has performed as a soloist and together with many orchestras throughout California. As a young child she was very interested in music. She continued playing flute through college and received an MA degree in music from San Jose State University where she studied with famous national and international flutists such as Isabelle Chapuis, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Ransom Wilson, and Francis Blaisdell, among others. Susan, a native of California, is the mother of two small children and an active freelance
musician.
