During the past 20 years, many things have changed in the wedding industry, and Certified Wedding Consultant Marcia Coleman-Joyner has been an integral part of these changes. As an instructor for ACPWC (Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants), Marcia has conducted classes for many wedding consultants from all over the United States and the world, and has been instrumental in the success of many ACPWC graduates.

Her wedding consulting service begins with a complimentary, no-obligation consultation, during which she gets to know about the couple, including their vision, wishes and dreams. The preparation of a preliminary budget is included in this initial consultation.

Marcia's "a la carte" contract resembles a restaurant menu, as clients choose from a list of services. The least expensive option, which Marcia offers for a flat fee, is her vendor referral plan, based on the couple's personalities, lifestyle and budget. If you would prefer more help, she will assist in selecting the vendors and organize all communication with them. For this service, she charges a percentage of each vendor's fee. Marcia will also work with services already contracted by the couple. The next plan comprises rehearsal and wedding day coordination, for which she charges a flat fee and an hourly rate for consultations prior to the event. For those who would like her to take care of everything, the cost is based on a percentage of the actual wedding budget. No wedding is too large or too small, as Marcia may also be hired on an hourly basis.

A few years ago, Marcia helped me plan a BRO event. She gave such great advice, was so efficient, and knew exactly what to do, so I left most of the decisions up to her, knowing that everything was in good hands. Comments from her clients are full of awe: "From the smallest details to the biggest questions, you handled everything with such professionalism, warmth and always with hugs." "I'd like to thank you for all the little things you did that I did not really notice at the time of the party but were captured on the video. I am very happy to recommend you to future brides and grooms and to let them know that with your services they'll be able to enjoy their day fully, without a care in the world."

Marcia is also the organizer of "Just Honeymoons Bridal Showcase", a network of wedding and event professionals who exhibit at intimate bridal open houses at elegant venues on the Peninsula and in the South Bay. Annually, these members donate over $20,000 in credits towards a wedding to support The Fattal Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds to bring awareness and support to bone marrow transplants at Stanford Medical Center.
